Critically injured in a shooting that left him unableto work, Roger Keyserling turned to eBay
Roger Keyserling knows he’s lucky to be alive. The American was shot in the neck while someone tried to steal his car. He died three times on the operating table.
Thankfully, medics brought him back from the brink. But while he recovered from his horrific injuries, he was unable to work, so turned to eBay – and never looked back.
Today, Roger, from Missouri, USA, lives and breathes selling. His eBay store, KeyWebCo, which sells items that range from toys to home accessories, always puts the customer first. His dedication means that no matter what time of day or night he gets an eBay alert on his phone, he responds instantly.
He said: “When I hear that noise, it doesn’t matter how fast asleep I am, my brain is automatically awake and I answer that buyer’s question. That’s when you make the sale.
“I believe in taking care of buyers straight away. When they get that instant customer service, they’re more likely to say, ‘Well, let’s try them again’.”
Roger believes this immediate customer service has led to his success as a Top Rated Seller.
But after his own near-death experience, he believes in helping others too, and regularly offers advice and tips to others starting out on the eBay journey. His mantra? “Pay it forward.”
